Rosdeep Adekoya, 34, is charged with assaulting Mikaeel at her Edinburgh home in January and hiding his body in woodland in Fife.
It is alleged she attempted to defeat the ends of justice by pretending to police he had gone missing, sparking a major search by the emergency services and members of the public.
Ms Adekoya appeared before judge Lord Boyd at the High Court in Edinburgh today. The Crown allege that she murdered her son after assaulting him on various occasions between January 12 and January 15.
Prosecutors also claim that she attempted to defeat the ends of justice by telling lies to police officers who were investigating her child’s disappearance.
Ms Adekoya, whose address was given in legal documents as being a prisoner of the prison of Cornton Vale in Stirlingshire, did not enter a plea during the two minute long hearing.
She was dressed in black, wore glasses and sat beside two security officers during proceedings.
Prosecutors allege that on various occasions between January 12 and January 15 at her flat, Ms Adekoya assaulted her three-year-old son by repeatedly seizing hold of him and repeatedly

Four long months after over 200 girls were taken from their school in Chibok, Borno State, the Nigerian government have not been able to find them ...and now their parents want the case closed and have asked the Federal government to just help bring back their daughters corpses. ROBBERS ATTACKED A MAN'S CAR,THREW AWAY BABY AND RAPED WIFE TILL HALF DEAD

Tears flowed freely as people beheld the pathetic sight of a middle-aged nursing mother whose three-month old baby was thrown into the bush while an eight-man gang of devilish souls raped her to a point of unconsciousness right in the presence of her husband.

The woman (names with held) who had bruises all over her body especially in the waist region could barely stand unaided when she was sighted at the headquarters of the Kogi State Police Command. Continue..

Sunnews gathered that the suspects waylaid the couple on their way to the village, and dispossessed the husband and wife of their cash and valuables at gunpoint. Then they took them in the family car to a nearby bush where they tied the husband and raped the wife who was at that time breast feeding her three-month-old baby.

It was learnt that one of the armed robbers on getting to the bush slapped the wife and forcibly took the baby away from her hands and threw the baby aside. He pointed a gun to her head and ordered her to undress.

For more than two hours, the eight robbers, one after the other, thereafter engaged the poor woman in a marathon sex while the husband watched helplessly and the hapless innocent baby cried profusely.
Parading the suspects before newsmen, the Acting Commissioner of Police, Mr Abiodun Odude said the family was travelling from Ogugu in Olamaboro Local Government Area, Kogi State to Iga-Ikeje when the robbers accosted them.

Odude said the victim (names withheld) a native of Ogugu reported at the Olamaboro Police Division and stated that he was travelling in his Toyota Corolla car with his wife and baby when suddenly some eight armed robbers accosted them, dispossessing them of their car, N6600 cash and mobile phone sets.

The alleged robbers then bundled them into the vehicle and drove them inside the bush about two kilometres from the road, where the man was tied to a tree prior to raping the wife. Giving further explanation of what transpired, he said the wife who was oblivious of their plan as she was crying and begging them not to kill her husband. This prompted one of the robbers to give her a vicious slap, took the baby away and ordered her to undress, while pointing a gun to her head.
He said the woman fainted after the ordeal.

Done with their evil business, they sons-of-the devil tied up the woman’s legs and drove away in the car.

After about 40 minutes, the woman regained consciousness, struggled to free herself and walked to a nearby village, where she informed a group of vigilantes, who later rescued the husband.
On receiving the report, a police patrol team led by Mr. Mbang Eteng, an Assistant Superintendent of Police tracked down and arrested two of the robbers, whose names were given as Vincent Oguche from an uncompleted building, and Femi Simon, who attempted to run away, but was overpowered by policemen and both of them taken into custody.

The police said the two suspects in the course of interrogation confessed to the crime and thereafter led the detectives to their hideout, where the stolen car, assorted guns and handsets were recovered. The names of two other members of the gang were given as Friday Oguche and Joe Agbo. The police are still on the trail of the remaining four members who are still at large.

Vincent Oguche while acknowledging that he and the others actually committed the heinous crime, explained why they raped the woman despite that she was nursing a baby, saying: “We were not in our right sense because we were very high on drugs.”

Femi Simon who claimed to be a native of Iyah Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area of the state said he was an unemployed driver who was conscripted into the deal. He said he could not control his libido when he saw his comrades-in-crime ‘enjoying themselves’ so he had to join them to have a taste of the woman.

The police rebuffed the request to speak with the woman, firmly saying she should be left alone on account of the horrendous ordeal she experienced.

Missing Model (ATAUI DENG) Found Safe

ATAUI DENG , a New York-based model who had gone missing, has been found safe and well after 12 days. Fellow models and friends - including Jourdan Dunn, Candice Swanepoel, Rihanna and Joan Smalls - asked their followers to spread the word about her disappearance in order to encourage her swift return.
Happily, Deng - who is the niece of Sudanese supermodel Alek Wek - was found last night at a hospital in NYC, NBC reports, although whether she is unwell or injured is still unclear.
Until last night, Deng was last seen leaving a party at a venue on West 48th Street by her boyfriend, actor and PR Grant Monohon, who lives with the model. He told New York's Village voice paper that Deng was acting "irregularly" prior to her disappearance and reported her missing to NYPD eight days later.
Deng was one of the faces of Rihanna's river  island collection and has walked for brands including Dior, Hermes, Diane von Furstenberg, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kenzo, Zac Posen and Proenza Schouler.

Pakistanis are rallying online in anger following the death on Friday of Amina Bibi, a teenage gang rape victim who set herself on fire  to protest the release of a main suspect.
Bibi was attacked and gang raped on her way back from college in January, in Punjab province's Muzaffargarh. Her brother reportedly said the trauma of sexual assault and a police decision to release the main suspect in the attack pushed her to self-immolate.

terrible and wicked!! Girl 'raped by 38 men' in Malaysia

At least 13 people detained after allegation that a 15-year-old girl was gang-raped in the northern state of Kelantan.
Almost 3,000 rapes were reported to the police in Malaysia in 2012, of which 52 percent involved girls below 16.
Malaysian police have detained 13 men and are looking for other suspects following allegations that a 15-year-old girl was raped by 38 men in the country's northern region.
Astro Awani television and The Star newspaper reported that the assault took place in the northern state of Kelantan on May 20, when the girl was lured to an empty hut reported to be a local drug haunt.
The men took turns to rape her for hours. Police are also investigating whether her 17-year-old friend was also raped.
Media accounts, quoting information from district police chief Azham Otham, said 38 men were involved.
Several of those detained had tested positive for amphetamine, the reports said. The New Straits Times said a man and his two teenage sons were among those detained.
Police said action could have been taken had villagers reported the addicts' presence, Reuters news agency said.
"It is very disturbing to me that no one in the village was even suspicious when the closest neighbour was a mere 20 metres away," Otham told The Star newspaper.
'Extremely worrying'
The alleged attack, one of several brutal cases this week underscoring the violence to which women are being subjected across Asia, sparked outrage among women's groups.
Politicians from a Muslim party running the region said their proposal to introduce Islamic hudud law, with harsh penalties, would deter offenders.
Suri Kempe, an official with women's rights group Sisters in Islam, told Reuters that the frequent number of rape cases being reported was "extremely worrying".
"Boys are being raised in a culture where being masculine means being aggressive, and that it's perfectly acceptable to use violence to get what you want," she said in a statement.
Almost 3,000 rapes were reported to the police in Malaysia in 2012, of which 52 percent involved girls aged 16 and below, according to police statistics.
Convicted rapists face up to 30 years in prison and whipping, but many have called for stricter punishment.

effects of smoking on women

Today a lot of women have lost heir lives and glories because of smoking, the best is to avoid smoking and taking in of hard drugs.

Smoking also causes the following health problems for women who smoke:

  1. Decreased bone density
Women who have gone through menopause and who smoke have lower bone density. This means they have a higher chance of breaking a hip than women who do not smoke.
  2. Rheumatoid arthritis
Women who smoke are more likely to get rheumatoid arthritis (RA). RA is an inflammatory, chronic disease. People with RA have swelling and pain in their joints.
  3. Cataracts
Women who smoke are more likely to get cataracts that affect their vision. Cataracts are an eye disease where the lens of the eye is cloudy or foggy.
  4. Gum disease
Smoking is linked to gum disease, which may lead to bone and tooth loss.
  5. Ulcers
Smokers with gum disease are also more likely to get ulcers in the stomach, which can lead to death.
  6. Surgery
Smokers have worse survival rates after surgery. They’re also more likely to have complications and poorer wound healing than non-smokers.
  7. Depression
It is important for women to know about the link between smoking and deppresion because women are more likely than men to be diagnosed with depression.
  8. Menstrual problems
Some studies show that women who smoke have more irregular or painful periods.
  9. Menopause
Smokers are more likely than non-smokers to go through menopause at a younger age, and they may have worse symptoms of menopause.
  10. Pregnancy
Women who smoke may also have a harder time getting pregnant. They also have a higher chance of losing their baby before it is born. Studies show there is an increased risk of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome, also called "crib death") in babies born to women smokers.
  11. Breathing
Teen girls who smoke have lungs that don’t grow as much as non-smokers’ lungs, and adult women who smoke have lungs that don’t work as well as non-smokers’ lungs.

Quitting is the best thing you can do for your health.
